At elho, we feel responsible to treat the environment as kindly as possible. We want to create products that make both you and nature happy.
These are our 6 proof points:

Each year, we use nearly 8,400,000 kilos of recycled plastic to produce designer pots.
- We always aim for more:
80% of all the materials we use come from recycled plastic.
- 100% own wind energy:
Our production is solely driven by the energy supplied by our own wind turbine in the back garden.
- Designed and made in Holland:
A large majority of our products are designed and produced in Tilburg.
- Long-lasting quality:
Our pots are made to last and will provide enjoyment for years to come.
- No more waste:
All our pots are recyclable.
Quality is very important to us and plastic is a very durable material. This ensures that you can enjoy your elho pot for a long time. Plastic has many advantages: it withstands freezing temperatures, it is lightweight, and our plastic pots retain their colour year after year! However, we also believe that sustainable business is very important. That’s why we produce as sustainably as possible, and we have already succeeded in creating our entire collection from 80% recycled plastic.
We’re very proud of this, but of course, we want to reach higher. Day in, day out, we’re looking for new, even more, sustainable solutions to create products that make your life a little greener.
For every product we offer, we’re constantly looking for the most sustainable way of production. That’s why we currently use 80% of recycled plastic.
However, ease of use and design is just as important to us, which means that we sometimes have to work with new materials. Even then, we always look at the most sustainable way of doing this. We’re very proud to already use 70% of recycled materials – that’s 8,400,000 kilos per year – but of course, we want to reach higher. Day in, day out, we’re looking for new, even more, sustainable solutions to create products that make your life a little greener.
The most important raw material is the plastic used by various companies that ends up as unused waste from their production processes. We think that’s a shame! Think of all the waste that comes from producing diapers, contact lenses, but also cultivation pots and various types of food packaging. Our raw materials also include the elho pots that roll off the conveyor belt when machines are started up or with colour changes.
Fun fact: this is almost 8,400,000 kilos of plastic per year.
