Why does my pot have tiny pores, and how do I keep it clean?
Due to the handcrafted process, pores are a characteristic feature of these pots. These pores are tiny holes in the surface and can attract dirt. To keep your pot looking beautiful:
-
Filling tips: Never fill the pot completely to the rim with soil. Cover the rim with plastic, foil, or cardboard while filling. This ensures a clean and neat finish.
-
Cleaning advice: Clean your pots 1–2 times a year using warm water with mild detergent and a tiny splash of bleach. Rinse thoroughly afterwards for sparkling clean pots. A high-pressure hose can also be effective.
-
Extra help: You can request a free cleaning kit via our service parts page.
Following these steps will keep your pots looking their best year after year.
To keep your pots and planters looking their best, we recommend cleaning them regularly. Mix warm water with a splash of cleaning vinegar or a little natural soap, and use a soft brush or cloth to gently remove any residue. Avoid scouring pads, as they can damage the surface.
For stubborn spots, you can try a mild solution of water with baking soda, or use a plastic cleaner designed for this purpose.
Please note: Avoid harsh cleaning agents, as they can damage the material.
