Plant information

General

Cacti are everywhere these days. One of the most popular houseplant versions of these prickly plants is the hylocereus undatus, also known as the white-fleshed pitahaya, or dragon fruit cactus. This plant springs to life at night, opening its white yellow flowers every evening. If you take care of your plant well enough, you might just be treated to a delicious, juicy fruit filled with vitamin C.

Care

Unlike its fellow cacti, the dragon fruit cactus likes to be watered frequently. Make sure the soil is always slightly moist to keep your plant happy. If it gets too dry, the cactus won’t be able to grow its fruit.

Placing

This little cactus likes a bright spot, but also doesn’t mind some shade. Never place your cactus in direct sunlight.

Propogation

Repotting your plant isn’t necessary, unless the cactus has outgrown its pot. In that case, repot the cactus into a larger pot so he has enough room to grow.
