Plant information

General

In the wild, we know the bougainvillea as a South American climbing plant, but this fellow does great in a pot as well. Bougainvilleas grow fast and wild and produce lots of little purple flowers. The plant looks great as a hanging plant in your garden or on the balcony, or inside as a floral companion to your other tropical plants.

Care

Make sure to keep the soil moist, but never too wet. If your plant is outside, he will need a little extra watering in the summer. Inside, watering once a week is enough.

Placing

Find a sunny, bright spot without too much wind in your garden. If placed inside, a bright spot without direct sunlight will do. If your plant is outside, make sure to bring him in before the first frost.

Propogation

Repot your plant once a year during spring. Use well-draining soil.
