Plant information

General

Violets come in all types, shapes, sizes and colours, but one thing is for sure: these romantic plants with velvety flowers steal everyone’s heart. Violets are easy to care for, lovely to look at and have a wonderful fragrance. Their deliciously sweet scent in your home or garden will put a smile on your face each time you smell it.

Care

Violaceae don't require much attention. It’s the ideal plant for people who don’t have a green thumb but would still like to add a colourful touch to their living room or balcony. Only water violets when the soil is completely dry. Regularly remove dry flowers so that the flowering period lasts as long as possible.

Placing

There are violets for every season. All these plants have one thing in common: they all do well in cold and wet weather. They love the warmth of the sun, so a bright spot behind a window or in the middle of your garden is ideal for violets.

Propogation

Violets are easy to propagate by using the seeds from the plant after flowering. Repotting is not necessary, unless you really want to. Preferably repot in spring, to give the plant enough time to recover.
