Plant information

General

Have you always dreamed of running your very own vineyard? This little vitis vinifera tree might just help make your dreams come true! Perhaps not on the scale you imagined – one tree is probably not enough to produce enough grapes for a good wine – but it’s the thought that counts. Plus, you can also just eat the grapes. Either way, time to declare Vignoble De Backyard open for business!

Care

The vitis vinifera doesn’t like to get his feet wet, but does need quite a bit of water in the summer. Water the plant two to three times a week and always check to see if the soil is dry enough for another watering session. If you’re determined to grow as many grapes as you can, take some time for a little Google-search on the best grape tree pruning techniques.

Placing

Place your grape tree in a sunny spot without too much wind, preferably against a wall, fence or balcony railing.

Propogation

Repot your plant to a bigger pot right after purchase. Then repot the plant once every two years, or sooner if the plant is a fast grower.
