Plant information

General

Koalas love to munch on this plant on Australia, but in Europe the Eucalyptus gunnii is more known as decoration in autumn and winter bouquets. With its pretty grey-green leaves and herbal scent, the plant is actually a perfect green accessory to keep around the house all year long. The eucalyptus is also a great addition to your balcony or garden: his scent keeps away annoying flies in the summer, and as an evergreen he stays pretty and good-looking throughout the winter months, making sure your garden keeps its green vibe.

Care

The eucalyptus enjoys a good drink, but doesn’t like to get his feet wet. Water your plant around two to three times a week in the summer, and once a week in the winter. Make sure the soil drains well. In the winter, it’s fine for the soil to dry up completely in between watering sessions.

Placing

This plant loves a spot in the sun, but a bit of shade is fine as well. Direct sunlight is not an issue for the eucalyptus. If your plant is sitting outside, he’s fine staying there all winter.

Propogation

Repot the plant directly after purchasing. Because the eucalyptus’s roots are a bit sensitive, it’s best not to repot the plant again.
