Plant information

General

Wild grasses are hugely popular in gardens these days. With their wild, natural looks and easy character, these grasses are the perfect way to create a pleasant, healthy and green outdoor environment. Deschampia flexuosa, also known as wavy hair-grass, is an elegant, finely textured grass with feathery plumes at the top, usually found on meadows and in forest clearings. In your garden, the grass can stay out all year, blooming up again come spring.

Care

Wavy hair-grass enjoys being watered, so make sure the soil is always moist (but never soaking wet). Water your plant around two to three times a week in the summer, less during fall.

Placing

The deschampia flexuosa likes his spot in the sun, but a partial shade spot is fine as well. If you have a dark, shady garden, this plant is probably not the right fit for you.

Propogation

Repot the plant after purchase. It’s not necessary to repot the plant on a yearly basis.
