4 x inspiration for your indoor jungle

Have you noticed? There’s a chill in the air! While the leaves are slowly falling outside and winter coats are pulled out of closets, we return to spending most of our time indoors. It’s nice and cosy, but we do miss our share of fresh air and those active outdoor days spent in nature. Luckily for us, bringing nature indoors isn’t as hard as it used be. A green home is great for your health (plants clean the air and provide oxygen) and increase your energy and concentration while taking those stress levels down a notch. Get inspired by these lush green examples and start building your own indoor jungle!

Meier Road

Why not have a botanical garden in your kitchen? Mork Ulnes Architects transformed this old shed in California, now used as an artist studio, into a bright green indoor jungle. There’s even a small tropical garden in the middle of the kitchen! Meier Road

Joolz

Plants create a pleasant office environment, and the people at stroller brand Joolz in Amsterdam really took this concept to the next level. Their office includes three tropical greenhouses where employees can work and hold meetings surrounded by bright green plants and tropical trees. Joolz office

São Paulo

This gorgeous São Paulo home makes our green hearts skip a beat. The wild jungle flows from the garden into the home, where it circles around a beautiful pool. Who’s up for a trip to Brazil? São Paulo home

Hotel Jakarta

Most hotel lobbies are just miserable affairs, but Hotel Jakarta in the Java-eiland neighbourhood in Amsterdam is a welcome exception. Together with the city’s Hortus Botanicus, the hotel created a subtropical indoor garden with giant palm trees and other gorgeous, tropical plants. The combination of the lush plants with the hotel’s wooden interior is absolutely stunning. Can we move in please? Hotel Jakarta
